O-week is almost upon us and we look forward to meeting lots of new people and catching up with some old friends.
If you're new to uni or just new to the Enviro Collective then come find our stall sometime during the week (10am-4pm Monday 22nd -Friday 26th) and have a chat or come to the first meeting in week 1. This semester we'll be meeting weekly on Mondays from 12-1 on the Quad lawn, look for the banner and a circle of people.
Who are we? A group of environmentally concious students who like to campaign both on and off campus. One of the big things coming up soon is a people's blockade of the world's biggest coal port on March 28 in Newcastle, which is expected to stop exports from the port for a time and also be a lot of fun. The best way to get to know us is to come along to a meeting but things we like are the bike club, the Thoughtful Foods food co-op, the stationery re-use centre and renewable energy.
