ARCC (Australian Religous Response to Climate Change) (multi-faith)

The excellent ARRCC website contains a large range of resources that can be used to encourage your faith community to take action on climate change. These resources include helpful suggestions in the section ‘Seven Steps to Sustainability’, details on how to organise a climate change workshop at your organisation, as well as a comprehensive list of DVD resources. External links are consistently given to facilitate further inquiry.

The Climate Institute (non-partisan)

The Climate Institute describes itself as ‘a non-partisan, independent research organisation that works with community, business and government to drive innovative and effective climate change solutions’. Among their large collection of published material is a booklet titled Common Belief: Australia’s faith communities on Climate Change. This document contains statements from 16 faith groups active in Australia. It intends to provide guidance on how to approach climate change in your faith community.

TEAR Australia (Christian)

TEAR stands for Transformation, Empowerment, Advocacy, and Relief. They are a Christian group with links to numerous non-government organisations in the developing world. Their social justice message is intrinsically linked to the need to pursue climate change mitigation in the developing world. This website has a range of education and project-specific resources useful to anyone wanting to promote climate change action within their faith community, or to become involved as an individual.
