In wider society UNSW is known as a progressive university when it comes to the environment, thanks to both on campus initiatives and study programs. Often we are critical of the path institutions take when becoming more environmentally aware and overlook the positive initiatives right under our noses; who knows perhaps we can make things go faster if we all lend a hand.

The Centre for Energy and Environmental Markets (CEEM) at the University of New South Wales undertakes interdisciplinary research in the design, analysis and performance of energy and environmental markets and their associated policy frameworks.

CEEM brings together UNSW researchers from the Australian School of Business, the Faculty of Engineering, the Institute of Environmental Studies, and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, working alongside a growing number of international partners.
